The Seven Mothers :
(1) Ādau mātā: real mother, from whose body I have taken my birth.
(2) guru-patni: the wife of the spiritual master.
(3) brāhmaṇī: wife of a _brāhmaṇa_.
(4) rāja-patnikā: the wife of the king.
(5) dhenu: the cow, she gives us milk.
(6) dhātrī: the nurse.
(7) pṛthvi: the earth.
